The Enemies of Learning

Don’t let this be you.

Don’t be the one who always knows the right answer and tells everyone else when they’re wrong. Don’t crush their inquisitive spirit because they don’t want to be corrected or humiliated in public. Don’t make them hold back when curiosity places a spark under their tongue.

Don’t be the one who won’t ask a question because someone smarter is standing next to you. Don’t forego a learning opportunity because it’s something you should know, or something you should have looked up ages ago.

Life is short, and one of the beautiful things we have here is the opportunity and ability to learn and explore and think. Don’t ruin it.

Foster inquisitiveness. Stimulate curiosity. Cultivate a love of learning.

  1. Love this! Great thoughts. I love how you covered both spectrums. Also, I clicked over from your blogspot, that’s so interesting about the Turkish government.
